Policies and Procedures:
Curriculum: Curriculum will be planned in compliance with Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The format will be Creative Curriculum. We feel Holiday traditions are an important part of culture, therefore, the curriculum will reflect holiday celebrations as well. If you wish for your child not to participate, you may need to find alternate care for that day.
Family Custodial Issues: We must have legal documentation to show guardianship to prevent an unauthorized person from visiting or picking up a child. If you have students that attend the High School where the lab is located, they may not visit their siblings during the Lab hours. However, they may drop-off and pick-up.
Picking-Up Children: The Lab will be open to parents/guardians of enrolled children during business hours. Only parents or persons with written authorization are allowed to take a child from the Lab.
Verbal authorization is allowed, but only to the manager. Picture ID is required from persons other than the parents to remove a child from the Lab if they have not picked child up before.
Door Codes: Each family will be given a Door Code to access the locked doors. This number must not be shared with anyone, including older siblings. If you share your code with others, it no longer makes this a "safe zone" for your children. Upon entering the lab with their child, parents must use the computer to log their child in and out by using the fingerprint scanner. Please do not let your children use the door or computer codes at any time.
Personal Items: Please Do Not send any toys or other personal belongings to school. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. We will have scheduled times for "Secret Bag" for the children to bring their favorite toy. Toy weapons are not allowed at the Lab or on the school premises.
Rest Periods: Each day we will have rest/nap time . Assigned cots and cot sheets will be provided. Cots and sheets will be washed every Friday or as needed. Your child may bring a small blanket and a stuffed animal to be kept at school for nap time. When needed, we will ask you to take your child's blanket and stuffed animal home to be washed and returned.
Health Guidelines: A current Immunization record must be turned in with the Registration Packet and kept on file.
Please do not send your child to school if any of the following apply:
¨ Fever higher than 100°
¨ Abdominal pain and/or vomiting within the last 24 hours
¨ Any yellow or green nasal discharge--parents will be called
¨ Diarrhea within the last 24 hours
¨ Constant cough (unless allergy related)
¨ Unusual spots, rash etc.
¨ Pink eye
¨ Headache
Child Care Management reserves the right to send any child home if they feel the child's symptoms need to be cared for at home. The child must remain at home 24 hours after leaving the facility.
